At the WASOG 2017 International Conference on Sarcoidosis and Interstitial Lung Diseases, October 19-22, 2017 in Beijing,
Marjolein Drent handed over the WASOG Presidential Medal to Arata Azuma, the new President of WASOG. Subsequently, Marjolein Drent became Past President and Dan Culver President Elect.

Prof. Marjolein Drent, now past president of WASOG. The next 3 years she and president elect,
dr. Dan Culver will assist the new president with his duties and responsibilities.
We wish them wisdom and creativity to increase all benefits of WASOG and to obtain more disease awareness, better and faster diagnosis, optimize treatment, and disease management for all Sarcoidosis and ILD patients.
At the next WASOG Conference in Crete, Greece the new vice president will be elected by the Executive Committee.
